    STRUCTURE OF SPINE

The cervical and lumbar region have a slight concave curve, and the thoracic and sacral regions have a gentle convex curve. The spinal frame work is fabricated upon bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, and other tissues. These arrive from the base of the skull near the spinal cord (clivus) to the coccyx (tailbone).
Spine has total 33 individual bones known as vertebrae which stacked one on top of the other. Spine include:

    • Cervical spine (C1 to C7)
    • Thoracic spine (T1 to T12)
    • Lumbar spine (L1 to L5)
    • Sacral spine (S1 to S5)
    • and the coccyx (tailbone).

Each vertebra is separated by a disc. The spinal column provides the capital support to body. Spine allow us to stand upright, bend, and while protecting the spinal cord from injury. Various conditions can affect the spine anywhere from the neck to the lower back.
