PREMATURITY DISEASES
Preterm birth is a birth when a baby is born less than 37 weeks of gestation. Normal pregnancy lasts 38 weeks. Most premature children are born between the 32 and 37th week of pregnancy, but some are born between 22 and 25 weeks. Prematurity is depending on how early a baby is born, he or she may be:

According to World Health Organization (WHO), across 184 countries, the rate of premature births ranges from 5% to 18% of preterm births. In the under developed countries, on average 12% of babies are born premature compared with 9% in developed countries, poorer families are more at higher risk.
Pakistan is at 4th number Among top of ten countries having preterm births. The is why 17th november takes place as World Prematurity Day, for the awareness of this serious health problem.
