DESCRIBE TYPES OF LYMPHOMA?

Lymphoma is divided into two main types:

1. HODGKIN’S LYMPHOMA

2. NON HODGKIN’S LYMPHOMA

HODGKIN’S LYMPHOMA

Hodgkin’s lymphoma is a cancerous tumor of lymphatic system. Hodgkin’s lymphoma  often attack on lymph nodes, spleen and liver etc. Following are some characteristics of Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

@ Nodular with Firm to hard mass andFixed mass.

@ Hodgkin’s lymphoma always presents as generalized lymphadenopathy. It means a group of lymph nodes are enlarged very silently.

@ Hepato-spleenomegaly, which are smooth and firm with round borders and causes abdominal pain.

@ Para-aortic nodes takes place within the umbilical region, more on the left side than at right side.

@ Intermittent fever is usually seen. 

@ Skin rashes are also sometimes appears.

@ Symptoms like asthma exist in respiratory system.

Its clinical features are:

1. Being retroperitoneal, the mass doesn't fall forward on knee elbow position.

Lab Investigations for Hodgkin’s lymphoma 

1. CBC

Complete blood picture (CBC) is to check for leukemia.

2. Creatinine 

Creatinine indicate uretral obstruction or thanks to the direct involvement of kidneys.

3. Blood urea

Blood urea associated with uretral obstruction or associate direct engage with kidneys.

4. Chest X-RAY

Lumph nodes also appears in x ray.

Bactaria

H.pylori
