Ticket to weight loss

Reduce sugars

Scientists in Switzerland have discovered that those who eat more sweets double their liver fat, which can lead to many health problems in the future. In addition to dietary fats, the liver normally breaks down proteins and carbohydrates and makes a variety of fats, including cholesterol.

Excessive sugar intake affects liver function and increases fat production. Common sugars contain two types of sugars, namely "glucose" and "fructose". Past research has shown that excess fructose affects the liver's ability to break down fats and, conversely, it begins to store fat. Continuing the same study, scientists at the University of Zurich in Switzerland conducted a study to find out the effects of fructose on the liver.

Reduce sugars

For this study 94 healthy boys/men aged 18 to 30 years were recruited who were divided into 4 groups. Three groups were given about 80 grams of fructose, glucose, and sucrose daily for a few days, which was a solved in soft usuall soft drinks.  (Two cans of cola soft drink contain 710 ml of beverage while the sugar content is about 80 grams). Safe and healthy use of sugar was continued in the fourth, the "control group".

Volunteers in each group were required to do at least 25 minutes of physical activity daily for 7 weeks throughout the study. At the end of the study, it was found that those who consumed only 80 grams of extra sugar per day (including fructose and glucose) had twice the amount of fat in their livers as those who ate cautiously.  However, he was also exercising for 25 minutes or more daily.

Reduce sugars

Another worrying aspect of the results was that even if the amount of sugar in the diet was reduced, the negative effects of consuming too much sugar persisted for a long time. The study, published in the latest edition of the online research journal "Journal of Hepatology", warns dessert lovers that even a small increase in sugar intake can have serious and far-reaching effects can be difficult to get rid of.

According to the American Heart Foundation, men should consume a maximum of 37.5 grams of extra sugar per day, while for women this amount is 25 grams per day.
