WHAT IS DENGUE FEVER?
Dengue is a viral fever. The virus of this disease transferes in humans due to the bite of a specific kind of mosquito as Malaria is caused by mosquitoes. But there is some special about dengue mosquito. It has white stripes on its body and it bites from sunrise to sunset. Aedes Aegypti is the mosquito belong with Culicidae family that is responsible for spreading dengue virus (DENV).

SYMPTOMS OF DENGUE FEVER
- Severe headache, cold and flu.
- Pain in body, back and joints.
- Pain behind the eyes.
- Red spots appear on the body.
- In serious cases, bleeding starts from different parts of body e.g mouth and nose.

- Use mosquito nets when going to bed.
- Keep the overhead water tanks covered.
- Empty water tanks and containers once a week, clean them, dry them and fill again.
- Limit the accumulation of water inside or outside your house.
- Keep clean your home, workplace and office
- Spray insecticides once a week in your home and workplaces, particularly in the evening.
- Water should not stay full time in the plant pots etc.
- Water gardens and plants only in the morning.
